Nuns & Nones Land Justice Project is now Land Justice Futures.

Yes, it’s true. While we are still the same organization you know and love, we changed our name, and have this shiny new web site too.

We’ve been pondering the name change for the better part of the last year. While our old name is still very dear to us (after all, it refers to the beautiful organization that birthed us), we've had to admit it’s a lot to explain to the uninitiated :-)

More importantly though, we wanted a name that would speak to where we are going. And as our work becomes a bit more seasoned by the amazing collaborations we are deepening with movement partners, land stewards, and the sisters who are now at the forefront of religious land justice with us, it becomes clear that this work is no longer simply a project. Together we are creating new futures of repair and possibility.

We are creating LAND JUSTICE FUTURES.

Next week, we’ll publish a blog post here with some more background on why we changed our name, web site and visuals, and what these changes mean to us.

For now, please join us in celebrating this big day. And of course, we’d love to hear your reaction to the name and to the new web site (find us at hello@landjusticefutures.org.)

Love,

The Land Justice Futures Team

Brittany, Sarah, Brenna, Amy, Brel, Hilary & Jessie

P.S. Some have asked, “Can we please still think of you as Nuns & Nones?” and we say - sure. We know that for some, we will always be the Nuns & Nones, and that makes us glad — we're proud of our roots <3

One of the fun things about our new brand is the many permutations of the logo that you will see around. You’ll hear more about that next week!
